Today marks day TWO of a new fitness journey for me. One thing I have learned over the last three years is that I don’t need a full blown gym to get results. I don’t knock anyone that needs it, I love taking an occasional class, but for me the gym has never worked.

I get nervous and feel embarrassed. I wanted so badly to go to the weight area and bulk up my body but was always embarrassed because I didn’t want others looking at me wondering what the heck I was doing…LOL You know you’ve all seen those videos that go around on social media with the people just flopping all over the place…Yup, that was me.

fullsizerenderI was thankful when three years ago I found at home workouts that not only worked for me and gave me results but also FUELED a passion in my that later inspired me to take the next step I am on with personal training. So much can be done with limited equipment or even no equipment in this case.

For the next 60 days I will be mixing it up with limited equipment (none on most days!) and be completing on of my favorite programs by one of my favorite trainers, Shaun T.’s Insanity Max 30.

I’ve completed this program once before but never added in the actual nutritional aspect to it. I tend to be the girl that either rocks the nutrition or rocks the workouts (I’m being honest here!) I struggle at doing both. This time though I’m prepared! My body is going to be changing over the next couple weeks/months.  I’m excited to see the changes it makes when I get both parts – Fitness AND Nutrition in check.

Insanity Max 30 is a high intensity HIIT workout that is only 30 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week for 60 days. Its designed for you to work hard and take breaks or MAX OUT when you need too. You go as hard and long as you can. It has 12 cardio and one tabata strength workout.

On my off days I will be adding a day of 45 min of weightlifting and 45 minutes of yoga.

My next online accountability group is starting soon. Not too late to join me. Your new years resolutions are still waiting for you <3
